A NOTE ON STATE STANDARDS

As all educators know, the call for national standards in education has caused the individual states to rally and create their own guidelines and standards as well. Because these standards vary from state to state, we provide you with Internet links to the standards published by the states on the web.

Perhaps the most comprehensive source of state and national standards is found on a Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) site at http://PutnamValleySchools.org/Standards.html. Here are links to standards categorized by state, subject matter, organizations, education departments, other countries, and more.
